Our History

Rich with Arizona history, the Primrose Inn & Suites has been serving the town and travelers for over 40 years. The main house and Casita were originally built in 1942 and designed in the Arts and Crafts style of architecture, the historic buildings on the property boast some very impressive hand laid stone walls and wood detailing. Later in the 60's the inn building was built, a big welcome for local Chino Valley residents and travelers who had the pleasure of experiencing the first roadside motor-inn in the area.  Years later, the inn expanded to include overnight RV accommodations for the many travelers who love the open road.


Setting its self apart from chain hotels, the Primrose Inn has reclaimed the optimism and romance of the time honored American inns of yesteryear. Today, the intimate sized rooms are reminiscent of the perfect cottage-cabin getaway.  Modern yet rustic, simple yet detailed; the perfect combination of a well thought out room.


Today, the Primrose Inn retains that nostalgic Route 66 era feeling yet everything is renewed and modern with rustic touches. The 8 rooms and newly redesigned outdoor garden courtyard is designed for relaxing, reconnecting and perfect for small events or weddings. The new changes have continued to capture the hearts of guests and continues to be the front runner in small boutique-inn accommodations in Northern Arizona.  



The Inn

Set in the heart of Chino Valley, a true surprise when arriving at the Primrose Inn with a picturesque setting of charming historic buildings and the redesigned inn. Stepping inside each room offers guests a warm inviting feeling with soft neutral colors that exudes a comfortable feeling. High-end linens and bed coverings tie in well with the art by a local artist depicting tranquil scenes from various Northern Arizona locations.  The inn's smaller sized rooms are well designed with space saving design to maximize floor space. Well thought out furniture placement was key to making the rooms feel spacious. Even the mini-kitchen set-up maximizes space saving design yet provides the perfect combination with a fridge and microwave neatly tucked inside a custom cabinet and topped with granite counters. The inn offers standard rooms, mini-suites, a fun tiny home and a very spacious private Casita Suite with a full kitchen, and private patio perfect for couples, bridal parties, families, gunsite students or business travelers.

Coffee Bar

Mornings are a delight with our outdoor coffee bar just steps from the inn's rooms, located right in our new Garden Courtyard! Guests can enjoy their coffee or tea under the covered pergola or out on the open patio space under a canopy of elms. 


We offer self-serve coffee, tea and seasonal hot chocolate with all of the trimmings daily until 10:00 am.

It’s important to us that you receive appropriate information to make your stay at the Primrose Inn & Suites as comfortable as possible. Smoking

The Inn rooms are 100% Non-Smoking. We do provide areas just outside your room, common areas that are equip with ashtrays and receptacles.

EARLY CHECK IN: Early check in may be obtainable based on availability and may be subject to a fee of $20. Fees may be subject to change and management reserves all rights.

LATE ARRIVALS: We accommodate late arrivals (after 9:00 pm) Please contact us directly prior to close of business and/or arrival date to make accommodations.  Rooms reserved are charged on credit card used to make reservation prior to arrival. 

Cancellations

Cancellation policy may vary depending on the rate or dates of your reservation. Please refer to your reservation confirmation to verify your cancellation policy. 


A 48 hour cancellation notice is required prior to your arrival date to receive a promotion disclaimer.  If you cancel within 48 hours, including reservations made within 2 days of your arrival, you will be charged the 1st night's room rate and tax.  Declined or invalid credit card numbers may result in cancellation of booking without prior notice. Personal checks will be accepted for pre-payment of reservation balance only if received at least 30 days prior to arrival date.

Rates: Internet rates are not valid with, during, or in conjunction with other Discount programs, including corporate programs.  All rates are currently subject to 14.33% sales tax. Prior to confirmation, all rates are subject to change without notice and based upon limited availability.
Room Preferences: We will make every effort to fulfill your preference requests; however they are not guaranteed, as rooms are assigned at check-in. Additional charges may apply for some requests.   If you need further assistance, call the hotel directly or contact customer service . Alternatively, you can cancel or change your reservation online if within the appropriate time-frames and reservation type. 

Damages: Upon reserving a room any damages caused by guest or guests of the guest, will be charged to credit card on file.  If charges exceed credit card, guest will be sent an invoice for the cost of repairs and replacements.

Pets

DOG POLICY: Guests traveling with their dog will be asked to fill out a waiver form accepting responsibility for any damage or cleaning charges that may occur while at the Hotel. Dogs are only allowed in specified guestrooms and guests must make reservations in advance to travel with their dog.  The Hotel only allows dogs that weigh less than 60 lbs each and up to two dogs are allowed per room with the exception of special events (dog shows). Dogs are the only animals allowed under the Pet-Stay program. Dogs must not be left unattended in the room or during housekeeping.  (Housekeeping may be scheduled at your convenience, but housekeeping must be allowed to service our guest room at a minimum of every other day).  Please note, excessively noisy dogs will need to be removed and boarded off property at the owner's expense.  *Damage to room, including pet urine/feces will be charged to owner $200 minimum.
